Lowell Winterfest is almost here!!!

The Lowell Winterfest will be here soon. The event happens February 9th through the 10th mainly on Arcand Drive in Lowell, near the Tsongas Arena.

This year, one of the big fun events will be the Human Dogsled competition. Yes, I said human :) There are great events for everyone, including face painting, live entertainment, ice sakting, shows, and fireworks to name a few! If nothing else, go see the human dogsled competition and bring along your camera or camcorder.

Hungry for Mexican - Check out the Mambo Grill

The Mambo Grill Inc., is a local spot that opened just a few years ago in late 2004, in the Mill City. It sits on Middlesex street in a nice walking area with other ethnic restaurants and a variety of stores.

My favorite Mexican dish has always been burritos with beef, beans, rice, and sour cream. They've got a delicious sizeable Barbacoa (spicy beef) burrito with the right level of spices. If you don't find it spicy enough, you can always add to it by adding hot salsa to your order. My hubby prefers the fish tacos. Just make sure to get at least two if you have a healthier appetite as the tacos are a bit smaller.

I've also found their prices to be very fair. When you see college students having dinner in there, you know it's a good deal!
